Lenalid 5mg Tablets by Natco is an immunomodulator that helps eliminate abnormal cells in the bone marrow that will affect the functioning of the immune system and produce new normal blood cells.
Lenalidomide affects the immune system. Promotes the immune response and prevents inflammation in the body.
Lenalidomide 5mg treats multiple myeloma (plasma carcinoma) in patients who have received treatment with dexamethasone at least once before its use. Lenalid is also available in doses of 5 to 25 mg.
What is Lenalid 5 mg?
Lenalid 5mg (Lenalidomide 5mg) treats anemia and multiple myeloma (cancer caused by progressive vascular disease).
Lenalid 5mg used in patients with myelodysplasia caused by abnormal chromosomes. This disorder is also called a 5q MDS deletion because part of chromosome 5 is missing.

Lenalid 5 Capsules is used to treat multiple myeloma and leprosy. This medicine belongs to a group of medicines which affect the functioning of the immune system.

For multiple myeloma:
With multiple myeloma, the body breaks bone faster than bone replacement. This makes the bones weak and increases the likelihood of pain breaking. Lenalid 5 capsules can be prescribed together with other cancer treatments such as chemotherapy.
It is an important part of the treatment that will increase the survival rate of people with multiple myeloma. This medicine kills cancer cells, stops them from growing back and stops them from spreading to other parts of the body.

How to take Lenalid 5 mg?
Lenalid 5 mg is generally taken on a 28-day cycle and once a day or as directed by a doctor. Lenalid 5 mg capsules can be taken with or without food, but for maximum benefit, make sure you take them at the same time each day.

In Case Overdosage:
If I take more lenalid 5mg, contact your doctor or local hospital and emergency department.
Miss Dosage:
Forget about taking lenalid 5 mg at the usual time, and if it goes away within 12 hours, take it immediately.
More than 12 hours have passed – do not take the medicine. Please take the following doses at your usual time the next day. Do not double the dose.
Stop Taking Lenalid 5 mg
Do not stop take lenalid until your doctor has told you do so.

Lenalid 5 mg drug interactions
Cholestyramine and activated charcoal can reduce the concentration of active metabolites in plasma. Concomitant use of methotrexate and other hepatotoxic drugs may increase the risk of hepatotoxicity. Rifampicin increases the serum levels of active metabolites.
